Default GvG Matching System

Please fix this ever-occuring problem in GvG.

And yes, for both low and high ranked guilds [excluding cow and other raiting farmers] see this as a problem because of bordem for the high ranked guilds and the low ranked guilds tired of being bull-dosed over in 3 minutes, learning utterly nothing from these quicky games for either team.

That happens all the time. While it is a problem but it will never be changed. Reason being quite simple maybe everyone in there rank was in a match and the only people entering gvg at the time was Cow. Only other option is have them sit there for however many minutes untill someone around there rank is playing which can happen in 2 minutes or can happen in the next 4 hours. I doubt if they hit enter battle they want to wait more then an hour to actually be able to enter the gvg. Also you have to consider not all guilds in the low ranks are bad I have seen guilds in the top 50 lose to guilds in the 1k ranks. The guild might have got an err7 and now a man down have the risk of being steamrolled and losing tons of rating. Its a double bladed sword while the low ranked guild might get steamrolled and learn nothing at all from it or they might get lucky and win and give a huge hit in rating to the high ranked guild.

I agree. It's a choice between this or hour-long waits. Facing cow every once in a while with your rank 2000 guild is the lesser of two evils.

Except its dumb now because you apparently get the same score for beating a rank 2000+ heroway team than beating a team near your own rank.

Maybe it would help if there is a huge ranking rift like that the #1 team cant gain ranking from the rank 2000, but the 2000 can gain from the #1 team, seriously if the rank 1 team beats the low ranked team it isnt very special, but if the low ranked team beats the high ranked one, they should be rewarded, and if they lose, not penalized.

some people may think this is unfair to the high ranked team, but they would just need to smoke these low ranking teams to keep its position, thus, no one wins

sorry, just my thought on this

That really is unfair because lets say rank 1 gets a err7 and it was a monk they take a huge hit in rating for this but if they win they get nothing I mean I hit RANKED battle not unrated.

The 'unfair' matching happens now after the ladder reset because the system takes RATING not RANK into consideration. And now since guilds gain only 2-3 points per win the differences in rating are very small. During last season matching guilds with more than 200 points difference was quite rare.

We just have to wait till the new tournament system is rolled on with high rated matches so the top guilds will again be 200++ points above the average ones. And this problem will disappear.

This thread may be old, but the gvg system is still messed up. Yester day vD - who has a rating of +1200. Played against 4 guilds - all with a rating of under 1000 in a row ! The system is gay. They should fix it or activate the new one now !

I'm fine with the system. I've had nights where all we play is top 20 guilds, and nights (like tonight) where it's all rank 2000 guilds. If you play late at night when few other people are playing, be prepared to play ANYONE who is playing.

Instead of complaining on this thing, just wait for the new gvg system, maybe it will solve this problem

a solution for this can be to give the power to the users.

when you ask to arrange a match you could choose 3 levels of strictness as to how close you want the opposing guild to be and the level is effective both ways - to guilds above you and below.

this way if you see you are waiting for too long you can reduce the strictness level.
